Maharaja "Sawai Madho Singh ji constructed the Lal Mahal Palace in the 18th Century. It draws its name from the color of its structure; the lime based red color which was very symbolic of the ancient times. The hotel is located away from the city, spread over hectares of green. It used to be the hunting Lodge retreat of the Rajput Rulers.
